It's been awhile. There's been much heartache, yet the blessings continue in abundance! I guess I'll start with the heartaches. My Dad went to heaven on October 13, 2024. He was a good Dad. That's a blessing! And one of the blessings of having my Dad is that in his last years I will always, always remember how he would look at me and say, "Wendy, I just want you to know how good God is to me," and then go on to tell of the good things God has done for him. He would do this often! I love that blessing!
My brother went to heaven on January 28, 2026. Almost nine months ago. I still am having trouble thinking about this. I can't write much about it. It hurts so bad to think he is gone. I love him so very much! I can't. I don't want to believe this happened. Still fighting the reality of it. No. No. No.
I'm ready for those blessings upon blessings, right? I'M A GRANDMOM!! As a joke, after being asked what they wanted the baby to call me, I said BGee for Best Grandmom Ever! Well, now I'm BGee! :)
Thaddeus Todd Radle was born on September 27, 2025! And he's the best!!
Did you catch that name? I cried as we were driving to the hospital to meet him: mostly from overwhelming joy, partly because Todd was missing this. It felt strange to walk into the room with both Grandmom (Grammy) and Granddad (Dumpy) (her parents) there. It was just me with the kids (aunts and uncle). So I cried when I met him too. Again, mostly because of the incredible joy I felt, but yes, the heartache was there, too, in missing Todd.
A few weeks later when we were visiting Thaddeus at his home, his Mom shared with us that he was a "rainbow baby." I had no idea and immediately felt so badly for her and Nathan, and praising God for this very special gift.
Driving home I realized that Todd wasn't missing anything! He was in heaven with his grandchild and child! Wow! Blessing, again, in the midst of heartache!
And here's the blessing on top of that blessing: Tiffany is pregnant! How awesome is that??? God is so very, very good! The only "heartache" in this blessing is that Brad (Tiffany's husband and now Daddy) is a Panther's fan. I mean a die-hard fan! He's from Greenville SC, but here where we live and where Tiffany grew up is Philly territory where Eagle's fans bleed green! So it pained me greatly to buy one of these, but it will hang next to an Eagles' one until that baby is born!! 😂
These blessings upon blessings sure do ease the deep heartaches! Thank you, Heavenly Father!!
